The gut microbiome food intolerance & allergy pattern

Stool testing can provide invaluable information about what might be causing our gut and general health issues.

I've posted before about the 3 most common patterns of gut flora dysregulation. But basically, in our microbiome, we can have normal, opportunistic and/or pathogenic bacteria. And when our gut bacteria appear in certain patterns, this can give us clues as to what's going right and wrong.

For example, if eight particular opportunistic bacteria are high (overgrown), they can create histamines. Histamines are involved in food allergies, intolerances (non-allergic) and other adverse reactions.

If, on the other hand, there's a pattern of three particular overgrown opportunistic bacteria, a certain low normal bacteria, and two specific abnormal intestinal health markers, this can indicate food allergies and sensitivities.

Stool testing can be an invaluable too for achieving better health. Our gut is where most of our immunity and brain cells live, and many other functions happen like hormone production and balance, nutrient breakdown and absorption for our cells, neurotransmitter creation and storage, and more.
