What if food alone could make you better?

Food, broken down into nutrients, feeds our cells, and cells are the building blocks of our body.

Over time poor fuel = poor health

Whereas good fuel = good health

But first let me tell you the story of a child client. Although he was 12 years old, he was growing increasingly anxious to the point he could only sleep in his parents’ bed and was unable to focus at school.

I looked at his diet and saw that he was eating a significant amount of juice, sugar, soft drinks, bread and refined flour.

The only two things I advised his mother to do was cut this ‘sugar’ out – the lot (including bread and refined flour) – and add in more vegetables.

Within two weeks, his anxiety had gone, he was sleeping peacefully in his own bed, and able to focus on his school work again.

Here are a few simple and powerful things that food alone used strategically can do

  • Heal your gut eg bone broths, apple sauce

  • Crowd out nasty gut infections eg fibre found in vegetables and whole grains

  • Balance your thyroid and hormones eg oysters, sea vegetables, brazil nuts, eggs, sardines, butter, salmon

  • Fight diseases like cancer eg vegetables, some fruits, good fats, good protein

  • Reduce inflammation (90% of disease is linked to inflammation) eg leafy greens, ginger, turmeric, wild and pastured proteins, oily fish, seeds

  • Prevent dementia eg see inflammation above

  • Alkalanise your body eg vegetables, fruit

  • Feed your good gut bacteria, which help prevent gut infections, support your immunity, eg fermented foods, vegetables, legumes

  • Kill yeast infections eg coconut oil, oregano, garlic

  • Improve immunity eg Reishi mushrooms, lemons and limes

  • Detoxify your body eg seaweed, greens
