How to keep your place mould free

So you've remediated or left your mouldy environment, but want to make sure you don't allow mould into your new and safe one.

Here are just some of my top tips to keep your place mould free

RegularlY

  • HEPA vacuum floors, rugs, carpets, sofas, mattresses and cushions

  • Dust and clean all surfaces with a microfiber cloth

  • Use hydrogen peroxide or ammonia cleaners on bathroom and kitchen surfaces, and to clean grout, tiling, sinks, showers and toilets

Also

  • Ensure good ventilation by opening windows and using fans

  • Monitor air humidity so it doesn’t exceed 45%. Use dehumidifiers if necessary

  • Prevent a build up of clutter

Annually

  • Do a deep spring clean

  • Do house maintenance check e.g. plumbing, air conditioning, HVAC, the roof, flooring

  • Clean all surfaces including walls and fans with a microfibre cloth, or HEPA vacuum

  • Consider fogging
