Procrastination isn't about laziness, but about protestion

Most people think procrastination is about poor discipline or bad time management.

But in functional and subconscious work, we see it differently.

Procrastination is a nervous system strategy.

It’s often your subconscious trying to

  • Avoid failure

  • Avoid judgement

  • Avoid pressure

  • Avoid success (what it might cost)

  • Avoid the discomfort of growth, visibility, or vulnerability

Because beneath the delay, there's usually a belief like

  • “I have to do it perfectly.”

  • “If I try and fail, I’ll be exposed.”

  • “I don’t have what it takes.”

  • “If I succeed, I’ll lose connection/safety/control.”

  • “This isn’t safe. I’ll deal with it later.”

In short, your subconscious is doing its best to protect you.

Even if that protection is no longer serving you.

It loves you,
