My 12 kitchen staples
This is my list of what I try and have in my kitchen - my staples that keep me nourished and energised when I don’t have time to do a proper shop.
In no particular order they are
Olive oil
Apple cider vinegar
Eggs
Tinned fish (wild caught)
Avocado
Bone broth
Brassica veggies - broccoli and cauliflower
Mixed salad leaves
Coconut yoghurt
Pumpkin seeds
Protein powder i.e. collagen or whey isolate
Tomato
Why these? Because they're quick and easy, delicious, nutritious, and ensure I can have a healthy meal if shopping hasn't happened and I'm hungry.
Also, I make sure I don't have sugary things in the house unless I've made a conscious decision to do so e.g. for Xmas Day or a birthday, and then I only have a small amount.
