Mould and mycotoxin infections are not the same thing
People talk about mould and mycotoxins interchangeably, as though they're the same thing. While they're related, they're actually quite different and require unique approaches.
Mould related problems might include
A mould infection eg aspergillus in the lungs or sinuses, which may be seen in an X-ray
Mould colonisation eg in the gut, often seeded by the sinuses or mouldy food such as coffee, peanuts if stomach acid is low
Mycotoxin toxicity, or the toxic bi-products of mould in the body
A mould allergy, which sometimes results from the above
Commonly, mould colonisation and mycotoxin toxicity occur together
As for how to approach these issues?
Mycotoxins need binders to carry them out of the body – both supplements and food – but the right ones for the right mycotoxin
Fungal growths need anti-fungals to eradicate them. With mould and mycotoxin infections, it's also common to also have gut/urinary tract/vaginal infections including Candida and Vaginosis that need eradication/rebalancing
MARCoNS (Multiple Antibiotic Resistant Coagulase Negative Staph) are a Staph infection in the sinus that may also need eradication
Other related problems that could be preventing healing are heavy metals, viruses, dental cavity infections and other toxins
All of these can be supported naturally with the right knowledge.
But the first step, where possible, is to get away from the mould ASAP and throw out any infected porous and semi-porous items.
