Savoury avocado & bacon guacamole fat bombs

Whether you want a healthy and satiating snack, you’re eating keto and want a change from sweet fat bombs, or are wanting a fasting snack that won’t take you out of autophagy, here’s a delicious savoury fat bomb recipe.

ingredients

4 large slices bacon, as natural as possible

1/2 large or 1 medium avocado

1/4 cup coconut butter (if you tolerate butter or ghee, these can also be used)

2 cloves garlic

2 spring onions or shallots

1 tbsp lime juice

Freshly ground white pepper

1/8 tsp smoked paprika

1/4 tsp natural salt like Celtic Sea Salt or Himalayan

1 tbsp coriander, chopped finely

directions

  1. Preheat oven to C190 deg (fan assisted)

  2. Place bacon onto a baking paper lined tray, with no overlap, and cook for 10-15 mins until golden brown. Set aside to cool

  3. In a bowl, roughly mash the avocado, coconut butter, garlic, lime juice, pepper, paprika and salt in a bowl

  4. Mix in the onion, and place in the fridge

  5. Pour the bacon grease from the tray and place the bacon in the fridge for 25 mins

  6. Chop or crumble the bacon into small pieces

  7. Scoop a tablespoon full of the guacamole mix to form a rough sphere. Roll in the bacon crumble and refrigerate until ready to eat (stores for up to 5 days)
