Solé (so-lay) water for adrenals, blood sugar and histamines

Solé water is water that has been saturated – around 25% – with natural salt to the point it’s not able to absorb any more.

It not only contains salt but trace amounts of other electrolytes, similar to electrolyte drinks that replenish lost minerals and rehydrate the body, but are often full of sugar. All up it contains around more than 80 minerals.

There’s a lot of misinformation about salt. It’s true that commercial sodium chloride found in table salt is stripped of other minerals and can cause imbalances in the body. Certain people are also genetically predisposed to salt sensitivity, including some with Hashimoto’s disease. Yet I’ve seen people with salt sensitivity respond positively to solé water. For example, if they suffer from adrenal depletion.

A course of solé water is not just cheap and easy to produce, but it can help with…

  • Hydration

  • Muscle cramps

  • Gut health – acting as an antimicrobial and antifungal

  • Digestion – stomach acid needs minerals

  • Adrenal exhaustion (HPA axis dysfunction)

  • Blood sugar balance and metabolic imbalances

  • Managing histamines

  • Alkalanisation and pH balance

INGREDIENTS

1 cup natural salt e.g. a mix of Himalayan Rock Salt and Celtic Sea Salt

Filtered or spring water, enough to cover the salt

directions

  1. Place the salt in a container with a non-metal lid

  2. Add the water, shake gently and seal with the lid

  3. Leave at room temperature overnight. Any remaining salt is excess. If there is no excess salt, add more water and repeat

  4. Add more water and salt to top up the jar as needed, and it will last indefinitely

How to take

Mix 1 teaspoon of solé water in a glass of filtered water and consume every morning on an empty stomach. Do NOT use any metal utensils to measure or stir. If you react, build up slower.
