Grain-free chocolate granola
Throw this crunchy granola on top of some berries and yoghurt, and you have a quick and yummy breakfast, snack or dessert. If you’re on the go, grab a handful for a healthy, lo-carb and sustaining energy boost.

INGREDIENTS
3 cups mixed nuts like cashews, macadamias, almonds, walnuts, pecans or pistachios
1 cup coconut flakes
1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1 cup raw cacao powder
1 tsp spices eg cinnamon
3 tbsp healthy fat like coconut oil, ghee or olive oil
2 tbsp maple syrup or 1 tbsp stevia
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 160 deg C fan forced 
- Combine the nuts, seeds, cacao powder and spices in a bowl and mix well 
- Melt your fat and mix with the maple syrup and/or stevia. 
- Pour into the bowl with the nuts and mix thoroughly so all the nuts and seeds are coated 
- Line a baking tray and spread the mixture evenly 
- Bake for around 20 mins. Half way through, stir the nuts and flatten again to ensure the edges and top don’t burn 
- Remove from the oven when the coconut is browned, cool and store in a sealed container. Enjoy
