Linseed crackers

This tasty linseed cracker recipe will have you wanting more and is high in healthy Omega 3 fats while also promoting regular bowel movements.

Notes

The grated vegetables increase the nutritional yield and bind the mix. Leftover vegetable juice pulp can also be used in the cracker mix

It’s free of most allergens and is Gluten free, Paleo, Vegetarian, Vegan, Lo-carb, Dairy free, Egg free

Ingredients

½ cup linseeds

¼ cup chia seeds

½ cup grated pumpkin or carrot

400 ml broth, stock of your choosing or water 

Celtic Sea or Himalayan Rock Salt and ground white pepper to taste

Zest and juice of 1 lemon or 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl and whisk well

  2. Stand for 1 hr, whisking occasionally 

  3. Check for seasoning

  4. Using a spatula, spread the mixture out to 4 mm this on a lined oven tray or dehydrator shelves

  5. Dry out for 3 hrs in over at 120 deg C, or in a dehydrator overnight, until crisp
