Inflammation - The fire inside causing your disease

Inflammation and disease

Normal versus chronic inflammation

Some inflammation is normal. It’s the body’s healthy response to injury or an attack on the immune system and is a natural part of the healing process.

But chronic, low-level inflammation at the cellular level has been linked to 90% of disease. It’s sometimes called the silent killer because it can develop without identifiable pain. This kind of inflammation can lead to obesity, diabetes, autoimmune disease, dementia, cancer, heart disease and much more long-term illness.

The causes of inflammation are many, but here are some widely acknowledged ones.

Clean up your environment

  • Remove or move away from mould

  • Remove toxic chemicals from your home environment, including your cleaning and self-care products

  • Eat as cleanly as you can e.g. chemical free or organic vegetables, legumes and grains, pastured meats, wild caught fish

  • Drink clean water with no added chemicals

  • Remove amalgam fillings (this must be done properly by an environmental or holistic dentist)
